The three teenagers that make up Jule Vera met in 2010 and formed a group with a few other members to play local shows, one of which was a Battle of the Bands contest judged by the grammy nominated band After Edmund.
Later that year, the band signed a recording contract with Columbia Records and RED Ink Records. Metro Station continued to perform throughout 2011, helping kick off the American Music Awards, as well as at various charity events, including "Why Hunger" campaign at Universal City Walk, and the 3rd Anniversary of the NOH8 campaign at the Los Angeles House of Blues.
In the July 2007 issue of music magazine Alternative Press, Metro Station was listed as one of the "22 Best Underground Bands (That Likely Won't Stay Underground for Long)." Metro Station released their self-titled debut studio album in September 2007. Metro Station finished touring and playing a variety of venues at Sundance and SXSW in 2012 to make a return to the studio.
